Downtown Farmers Market in Syracuse opens for the 2017 season

The Downtown Farmers Market kicked off its 45th year Tuesday in Syracuse's Clinton Square.

While Central New Yorkers will have to wait an extra month this year for sweet corn, squash and other produce, there are enough locally-grown strawberries and asparagus--plus flowers, herbs, baked goods, honey and cheese--available to keep us happy.

Several food trucks and vendors, including Byblos Street Grill, Toss 'n' Fire Wood Fired Pizza and Lao Village, also set up at the market.

The market runs every Tuesday until Oct. 10 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
