Stewart's Shops, the Saratoga-based convenience store chain/God's gift to Upstate New Yorkers, announced Monday that 13 of their Saratoga-area stores are now selling Esperanto Doughboys for a limited time.
For the uninitiated, a Doughboy is a divine combination of diced chicken breast, cream cheese, two other types of cheese and chopped scallions, all wrapped up in pizza dough and baked. A night out in Saratoga isn't complete until a two-Doughboy nightcap at Esperanto, which stays open until 4 a.m. on weekends.
What does this mean for those of us outside the Saratoga area? It means hope that Stewart's will start carrying them in all their stores across Upstate New York and Vermont.
